AHA PROJECTS

What's Good in the World

What’s Good in the World is a gathering place for stories, conversations, and creative collaborations that strengthen our connection to one another and the world around us.
We believe there is far more goodness, creativity, and generosity in the world than we often realize.

We create spaces for artists, thinkers, changemakers, and everyday people to explore ideas, share stories, and inspire one another.

Discover → Make Visible → Connect → Create → Support

Discover. We pay attention to people, ideas, organizations, creative work, and community efforts worth knowing about.
Make visible. Through Driftwood Conversations, the website, newsletter, radio/media, profiles, events, and other communication, we help people discover what is already happening.
Connect. We introduce people to one another—sometimes intentionally and sometimes simply by creating a space where they can find each other.
Create. We provide opportunities for people to participate: gatherings, workshops, conversations, creative programs such as Connecting Through Story, and collaborations that may grow from those connections.
Support. We continue helping people and projects find audiences, participants, collaborators, resources, funding opportunities, or other forms of support.

And then something important happens:

It circles back.

Someone who comes to a WGW gathering may eventually teach a workshop. Someone we interview may meet a collaborator. A young person in Connecting Through Story might create an audio piece that WGW shares. Someone who reads about that person may invite them into another opportunity.
