Responding to findings from the 2024 Nonprofit Capacity Landscape Analysis (NCLA), AHA Projects initiated AHA Connects to address under-resourcing and overextension, two critical fault zones that plague nonprofits. These systemic weaknesses dog nonprofits both nationally and regionally. Nonprofit failure rates range from 12% to 15% for agencies operating less than five years.
AHA Connects provides Northern Nevada nonprofits with the stability and structure needed so they may come of age. A proven approach, AHA Connects creates an ecosystem that shifts headwinds to tailwinds, giving great ideas and dynamic leaders the necessary support and framework to become self-sustaining, forward-moving organizations.

AHA Connects Fills A Critical Gap

Nonprofit Leaders and Teams: AHA Connects provides leaders and their teams with the tools and resources – housed within a newly opened, state-of-the-art building – that enable them to shape their mission and incubate their organization.
Community Leadership & Members: AHA Connects serves the community in two key ways.
First, we’re a home for civic life, programs, and events.
Second, municipal leaders, business owners, and the public can proudly point to the new location as a landmark contribution that strengthens the region’s network of healthy nonprofit resources in particular, while adding depth to our quality of life.
Donors & Funders: For donors and grantors, AHA Connects represents a commitment to Northern Nevada’s nonprofit backbone. This is a lasting investment in infrastructure and equity. By helping ensure long-term nonprofit viability, donors and grantors can confidently support the nonprofits that meet their funding requirements.
