FODA
Friends of the DA (FoDA) is the parent-led volunteer organization that supports the DA community through service, connection, and appreciation. FoDA partners closely with DA leadership, faculty, and staff to enhance both the student and family experience through events, programs, and year-round initiatives.
FoDA is open to all DA parents and guardians. Our goal is to build a warm, inclusive community where families can get involved in ways that fit their time, interests, and strengths.
Our Mission:
FoDA exists to:
- Strengthen the partnership between families and the school
- Support DA students through volunteer-driven programs and enrichment activities
- Show appreciation for the faculty and staff who make DA exceptional
- Build community by connecting parents across grades and cohorts
- Foster a culture of service, collaboration, and respect
Among other things we provide study hall outings, teacher appreciation activities, welcome and networking events for new families and returning families, fundraising for specific school desired items, and we support special projects in the summer.
